Atherton & District Amateur Photographic Society

This is from today's shoot. The lighting was very simple and quite harsh to give this effect, which was close to what I wanted.
I know this is very dark, and deliberately so. It's intended to show the subject's eyes as a mere glimmer in the dark, to give a sense of mystery as to what thoughts lie within.

I kinda like these John. I like the dark, moody feel you were aiming for.

The lighting was a bit harsh, and I take the blame/responsibility for that. Sorry.

Is that a dirty mark on the background on the top photo (close to his ear)? I would have cloned it out.

On the whole, a decent job.

I've not actually looked through my photos yet, but I'm aiming to sit down and go through them asap.
