#216 something familiar from an unusual viewpoint
It is getting hard to think of a subject!
I would like to see something from an unusual viewpoint. That could be a set up “mystery object “ type shot or a landscape avoiding the cliche shots.
See what you can do and have fun.
Closing date 16th March (nearly spring).

OOPS!!
I have just spotted that I have repeated Chris's theme from September.
That's what happens when you do things when you are busy and distracted.

Have a guess......

Things Go Better With Coca-Cola, a different view on a Sustaining and Refreshing whisky glass containing the amber fluid. To make the experience complete, some music to go with it:Best regards

Quality rather than quantity but I guess that is what happens when the subject gets repeated (oops!).
Four good images so I will pick my favourite.
I will try not to deduct points for inflicting a Four Seasons jingle but I can't ignore the suggestion that Coca Cola is an acceptable amber fluid to go in a whisky glass - there is only one amber fluid for a whisky glass!!!
Mel has set a secondary challenge to identify the object - looks like a metallic gear mechanism of some sort. Quite small judging from the texture marks. Knowing Mel I am going to guess a guitar machine head.
The bridge is full of lovely detail and the cactus has a wonderful bright feel and I especially like the bent spines on the right.
Overall I am giving the victory to Graham.
Over to you. (Tip: have a quick look at the list of recent subjects!!!!!)

John asked "Would Jack Daniels be acceptable in the whisky glass?"
I could tolerate a bourbon in the glass as long as I don't have to drink it. We went to the Manchester Whisky festival and a young friend of ours approached the specialist bourbon producer and asked "I like Jack Daniels and coke, where should I go next?" and received the answer "outside".
In this house the amber liquid (some of it very pale amber) would be a single malt from Scotland, Wales or Japan.
