#225 INSPIRED BY QUEEN (THE GROUP OF COURSE)
Some time ago we had a series of challenges inspired by album covers, tracks from my favourites Simon and Garfunkel etc.
Have just watched Bohemian Rhapsody which got me going, so please give me your best images from their song titles.
Midnight on the 6th October closes the show. Good luck everybody.

Hi everybody. First the pleasure of winning but then of course the pain in judging and making comments. Ah well!! Here goes.
MEL - Say ahh! So cute and so Mel. Did you know that I'm a cat person my friend? This is a lovely shot.
ANDY This fits the title so well it scares me to death. Right up there with your technique.
SUE Am sure that I've seen this one before in comps. A great treatment and just love the eyes.
JOHN I like this but would have wanted a bit more of the car. Not sure what model it is being left handed. Perhaps your new Ferrari?
GORDON This puzzled me in wondering what a Bidulph was to have a skull like this one but then found out that it's part of a display in Biddulph
Grange Gardens. Love the treatment.
GRAHAM There is a great feeling of movement here and although perhaps a bit blurry only adds to the effect.
CHRIS Not too sure where this fits the title my friend but as one of your specials it's certainly eye catching.
So:- First place to Mel. I lied about being a cat person as am also a dog lover and this is just so good.
Second place to Sue. Very clever image Boss Lady
Third place to Gordon. Just love the treatment.
Over to you Mel

Hi Chris
I had originally thought that pictures inspired by their song titles was the theme so didn't appreciate the inspiration of an album
cover.
Perhaps I should have considered this and of all their songs Bohemian Rhapsody would be a definite challenge. It's still one of your
special shots Maestro. Thanks for the info.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is not the title of a Queen album.mikeaspinall wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2019 7:09 pm I had originally thought that pictures inspired by their song titles was the theme so didn't appreciate the inspiration of an album

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is a song by Queen, which was written by Freddie Mercury for the band's 1975 album "A Night at the Opera".
Upon its release as a single, "Bohemian Rhapsody" topped the UK Singles Chart for nine weeks, selling more than a million copies by the end of January 1976. It reached number one again in 1991 for another five weeks when the same version was re-released following Mercury's death

Thanks, Mike – there were some real good entries for this one – it’s hard to pick a favourite, but I love the humour in the one by Gordon Armstrong! I'll get my thinking cap on now for a new topic!
