Looney Facebook Rules

Post by BydoR9 »

Just seen this on the BBC.

I'm no fan of Facebook (hence I'm not on it), but this is ridiculous on another level, although at the same time it doesn't surprise me.

I think most of the problem is with odd things triggering algorithms. It's the sheer volume of posts that makes this necessary.

The difficulty is in then contacting someone human to put things right.

I'm an admin for over 200 Facebook groups and I've never witnessed this problem when using Facebook. The interface has changed somewhat and, at first, I didn't like it but it has been forced upon me and, with browser add-ons, it's tolerable. The 'media' promotes that which will get people to read/listen/view topics. That media uses the most influential photos/videos with voice. Bad news gets the attention of the people more than good news. The good news is: Atherton won over St Helens; the bad news is St Helens lost!
