Because the projected images are viewed on a black background I have wanted to do the same in photoshop. It is actually very simple.

First hit the tab key to hide the pallet tools (Tab again to bring them back)

Now hit the F key and hit the F key again. Et voila as the French say.

Hitting the F key again brings you back to normal
