Hi Folks,
I am having problems opening images, in the Urban Abstract comp Janice's image is blank but Tracey's image is open, in the wet comp some members images will open and others won't, none of my images will open anywhere on the forum also some members images open in some sections but not in others, this has only occured since the switchover to the sites new server, is the problem on my system and if so any ideas on how to sort it out.
Regards,
Bert

We'll be looking at this as soon as we can, for some reason some images have become unreadable. I'll move this to the Help section for attention.

Perhaps some files have been corrupted in the downloading/re-uploading process.

Hi John,
Thanks for looking into this problem, I have just been round to my daughters and my grandson went onto ADAPS website to look at the images etc, when he clicked onto the forum, and then images, in red letters it said you haven't permission to look at this section,
Thought I would let you know about this, maybe others are having the same problem,
Thanks to you , Mike, Paul and everyone for all the hard work you put into the forum.
Regards,
Bert.

Hiya

The missing attachments are being corrected and will be back asap!

The permissions for attachments were set so that guests couldn't download files. This had the unfortunate side effect of preventing them from viewing attachments! Admittedly this isn't very helpful so I have amended it so that guests can now download and view attachments. If you could have another look and check it works okay that would be appreciated.

Guests will not be able to attached images to this board as it leaves us wide open to spam and abuse.

Many thanks Mike, sometimes security does get in the way of functionality, but unfortunately there are a lot of spammers out there!

Hi Folks,
Called round and checked on my Grandsons laptop, he can now access the website, the only image not opening up on our computers is my image of the Barnowl in flight in the gallery section the annual 2012,
Regards,
Bert.

Are you sure it was the Annual 2012 Bert - there are 12 image files, all showing correctly, but that doesn't seem to be one of them.

Hi John,
In the gallery, annual comp 2012 my Puffin and Airwaves Ducati images open up but the Barnowl just shows a cylinderacle type object, it does say winner of natural history section but there is no image displayed other than the cylinder.
Regards,
Bert.

I've replaced the image, so it's now available for viewing. The only thing I can't do is reset the views counter, so that has started again.

Are we still having problems? Could you point me in the direction of the missing link so it can be replaced. Thanks.

All the ones I've checked have been fine, I think at some point a cache renewed or something certainly happened because some cleared on their own without any intervention.
