I spotted this shadow pattern on a house wall in a village in Morocco.

I like the texture on the wall and the odd random shapes created by the shadows. Good colour too.

Hi Gordon

I like the rich orange colour and I can see why you would take the shot. I tend to take lots of these types of images when on holiday then do nothing much with them, so full marks for posting it for critique.

Unfortunately, I don't find the shapes of the shadows or the splodges of concrete that interesting or visually appealing, so it's not an image that will hold my interest for long. Just my honest opinion. Doesn't mean that a judge won't like it. If the holes in the shadows had been a different shape it may have held more appeal for me.

What was it about the image that drew you to it?

Thanks for your comments. Good question Paul.

I was waiting for our tour party to gather in a small town on the edge of the desert. It was dusty and all of the buildings were variations of orange and brown - not a pretty place!!!.I shot a few general shots and then picked out some details. I spotted the shadows and at first it wasn't obvious what was causing them but I liked the pattern and the wall texture. I wondered if the texture might prove useful at some stage.
