Hi everyone,

The new competition theme will be People

It will begin to-day July 21st at 6-0pm and will end at 6-0pm on August 4th.

I will be looking for more candid shots rather than portraits.

Good luck to you all.

Myra

Tom. Wow, that is an amazingly good timing AND a great image / composition. I think it is probably inappropriate to wax lyrical before the end of the competition but Kudos! :-d

The competition is now closed, time to start judging.
This has been a difficult one as i like so many of the pictures, anyway lets begin.

John The girls look so happy and relaxed, i don`t think i would be sitting on a railway line with a train so close.
I would have liked a tighter crop, as i find the blue on the left hand side a little intrusive.

Len This is great, it made me smile, it was very well seen. I could have eaten fish & chips when i saw this, my only gripe is, i would have cloned out
the white line on the road.

Bazz I like the crop you have given this picture, i would loved to have seen the ball, a good action shot never the less.

Keith This image is to large for my monitor, i can`t see the whole image without moving it up and down.
It is a very busy shot, my eyes keep going all over it, the people seem to be lost in all the metal work.

Des what can i say.
Four happy people had a great day out.

Mike This is a smashing shot, even though it`s busy.
I just keep wanting to look at the good looking chap in front, he is really enjoying the day.
The reds are superb.

Lee Another busy picture.
I wish i could have seen the young mans face as he strokes the statue.
I find the background a little messy.

Ruth What shapes and sizes we have at A.D.A.P.S.
I like the picture overall it was almost in the top three.

Paul Nice tight crop, you have just shown us enough of the car to make the image strong.
I like this very much, it`s just let down for me because the mans face is shaded.

Sue Guess who? I think i know the guy on the right, perhaps you set it up, who cares, it made me smile.

Tracy A photographer at work, i think you should have taken a powder puff for the photographers bald head
Ha Ha
It would have been a stronger image i think if you had taken off the wheel on the left, but very well seen.

Bert What a lovely couple enjoying their holiday, i hope there were no flies about.
This is very sharp and the colours are great.
I would have taken the top off to the hand rail to make the image stronger.

Tom D`ont usually go for monochrome, but this ticks all the boxes for me
The expressions of both guard and driver are spot on.
It made me smile, i had to keep going back for another look.

Steve This is a good subject, love the man in front, but i would have liked the background a little more out of focus,.

Thats it folks now for the important part

1st Tom----just love everything about it.
2nd Len----So well Seen.
3rd Mike---Such a colourful image.

Thank-you to everyone for taking part in the competition.

Would Tom now start the next theme.
