If we look around us there is beauty everywhere, in all sorts of different forms.

Planted some Sunflowers this year, for the first time. Wasn't long before we had a very colourful...and contrasting...visitor.

This is an update on the end date of the comp. The new web site is still not available to everyone so extra time is allowed bringing it to the 7th of September Cheers Graham

Comp is now closed and as I will be busy for the next few days the judging has to be today,so here goes.

Sue;The light background is perfect for the many contrasting shades and in particular the door, what a fab colour.I Iike the composition of the shot and I'm sure many people would have just walked past this.

John;the texture of this shot is superb, typical of you to see things differently but I'm not sure that there is much contrast of colours

Drainbrain; Not heard from you for a while, welcome. The flower is well captured as is the butterfly but I feel that the yellow overpowers everything else and the butterlly is overpowered.

Lesley; The yellow really stands out against the white petals which stand out from the the well blurred background but Ifeel the beetle is a bit lost

revreg;A good idea and I love the title but if you could have moved them to a darker background this would havehelped the contrast and my computer shows the colours are over saturated.

Thanks for your entries and the winner is Sue,well done
