Nicely composed, very tranquil. I'd suggest a bit more contrast, but otherwise it's spot on for me.

Hi Gordon

It's a good effort. I have a real passion for all things coastal - boats, lighthouses, harbours, etc - so this type of image is right up my street.

Three things for me...

I'm wondering why you chose black and white. Just that most of my favourite boat shots tend to be in colour.

I agree with John that the image could use more contrast. It's just a bit too 'grey' for me.

Thirdly, there's quite a few boats in the scene so the eye wanders around. I wonder if you could have perhaps chosen to just focus on a few of the more prominent boats. Again, just personal observations.

Thanks for posting. You've got me in the mood to look through my boat photos again.
