Yes, that hairy bit around your chin!
Time to chuck out those razors folks! Inspired by those annoying hipsters out there and my own laziness at the weekend when I can't be arsed shaving, I bring you the facial hair portrait competition!
I want to see bearded men, bearded ladies bearded dogs, moustaches, goatees, fake beards, Father Christmas's, Fishermen, Garden Gnomes, 1920s strongmen, Rabbis, cold war disguises and even those darn hipsters.
Let's say the comp ends Sunday October 9th midnight. Good luck Y'all!
Andy.

Re: #175 - Beards
Hi folks! Thanks for your entries - wish there was more of 'em, but hey-ho.
John's shot, Lawrence of Whitby, indeed reminds me of omar sharif in Lawrence of Arabia! Nice shot John, only slight downside for me is he's squinting a bit too much, so you loose potential good eye detail.
Love the beard. Nice one Mike! Uncle Albert alive and well! Great character this, well isolated (assume cut-out) and the charity box is a nice prop - fits in well.
Beard B&W. Really great portrait Tracey! Love the choice of black and white. Lots of nice detail in that beard! Only downer for me is that label on his hat, I assume you removed a logo, but my eye is still drawn to it. Excellent otherwise!
3rd John.
2nd Tracey
Winner Mike!
Well done guys, 3 great images there, was tough to pick the best.
Over to you Mike!

Re: #175 - Beards
Thanks Andy.
A pity that there were so few entries this time but that's how it goes sometimes. You are right about the 'cut out' although
my technique is somewhat different as I can't do them.
Attached is original image taken by the way on one of the first ADAP's trips I went on to York. Same one as the 'best friends'.
Will put my thinking cap on and pot a new subject shortly.
