Competition #37 - Glass
Competition #37 - Glass
Hi folks,
I have found it difficult to choose a subject after so many good ones have already been covered but I have decided that competition
#37-GLASS This can be anything associated with glass, natural or any other means of light, anything you think fits the subject of the theme as there is glass or something made of glass all around us,
The closing date will be midnight Tuesday June 9.
Looking forward to seeing your images,
Bert.

Re: Competition #37 - Glass
I have seen some excuses for pouring a glass of Baileys but that has to be one of the most tenuous!

Re: Competition #37 - Glass
Thanks to everyone who entered the commpetition, a varied and well thought variety of subjects.
Cookie,It's raining again,
You have caught the raindrops just about sharp enough and the choice of aperture has diffused the background to emphasise the rain on the glass.
John, Smooth as silk,
Photography is about enjoying what you are doing, I am sure you enjoyed just getting the correct amount of liquid into and out of the glass, a good idea well executed, nicely exposed and good lighting, must have been more enjoyable than photographing a glass of water.
Bazzammeg, Stained glass,
A good example of this area of photography, taken at the right time of day as regards the lght, plenty of detail throught the image. sharp and well exposed.
Sue, Glass stairs,
Super image, well seen, composition is spot on with the figure in just the right place, a good pattern picture well handled with no
distracting highlights, a difficult subject to get right with all that glass at differant angles.
Myra, The red shed and window,
Love the textures and colours in this image, again well seen, the reddish tones of the shed are complimented by the greenish mildew etc on the glass, a well exposed and sharp image.
Tracey,The jewel.
Wow what a gem, hope it is well insured, a very difficult subject to photography, all the differant angles of the surfaces on the stone make lighting very difficult, the way you have handled the lighting and the star effect and the use of a black background make for a super image.
Philiphowe, another good image of raindrops, good exposure and the diffused shape in the background gives it an air of mystery.
Keith, Headlight, again something completely different, good exposure and plenty of nice detail throught the image, good use of light and the way the image has been processed gives it a 3D effect, good use of mono and wouldn't have been as effective in colour.
Andrew, On reflection, again something different, super idea, well seen and thought out, everything holds together and in the right place, exposure and D.O.F spot on.
Again, thanks for all your entries, a wide variety of subjects and as usual at ADAPS a very high standard of work making judging very difficult, but a choice has to be made.

3rd Tracey, The jewel,
