The trouble is that this nonsense is turning into confrontation, which is not a good thing. My opinion is that the security staff were wrong in their initial approach, but the protestors were wrong to make such an aggressive stance.

Withou knowing the full facts, as opposed to the reported facts, it is difficult to comment, but from the scant information available, it would seem that the protesters set off with the intention of causing a fuss, and to that end seem to have suceeded. I have the opinion that Security Staff are employed and not given the correct training to go with the job. i.e. are not appraised of their powers, are not trained in the art of Public relations, and generally do not know how to talk to people. Look at the rates of pay, that should tell you something. Perhaps one day there will be a serious incident and authority will get off its B.F.A. and actually do something, instead of just talking about it.
